At Wag Days Philly, we’ve gone all-in on enrichment. Our Fishtown location is fully enrichment-based, built around our PET philosophy — Play, Exercise, Think, Repeat. Whether your dog thrives in our group Enrichment Daycare or shines with the focused attention of Individualized Daycare, we tailor every day to your pup’s needs.

Group Play and Enrichment Activities

Our Fishtown dog daycare features a full day of exciting group play sessions, carefully organized by size and temperament to ensure every dog enjoys a safe and positive experience. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all care — that’s why we offer two types of daycare options:

Enrichment Daycare — $61 per full day

For dogs that enjoy and do well in large and small group play. Enrichment Daycare dogs can also take part in paired and small-group enrichment activities. Every dog rotates through structured play, exercise, and mental challenges all day long, guided by our PET philosophy.

Individualized Daycare — $71 per full day

For dogs that prefer humans over dogs and need individual attention during enrichment activities and play. Individualized dogs can have the chance to play with a buddy when an appropriate, play-style-matched dog attends on the same day — and if there’s no match, they’ll spend a happy day with their human friends. Perfect for dogs who are shy, especially energetic, or simply happiest with one-on-one time.

The PET Philosophy: Play, Exercise, Think, Repeat

Every pup who stays with us enjoys four enrichment sessions each day, all rooted in our three core pillars of care:

  • Play (Social Time): Group playgroups, buddy pairings, and dedicated one-on-one attention from a handler.
  • Exercise: Walks around the neighborhood, agility work, active games like fetch and tug, treadmill time, and movement challenges using ramps, planks, and platforms.
  • Think: Brain games, scent work, puzzle-solving, obstacle courses, monthly trick challenges, and other activities that keep their minds sharp.

We shape each dog’s day around what they genuinely enjoy. Is your pup the life of the playgroup, an all-out athlete, a puzzle-solver at heart, or someone who thrives on quiet one-on-one moments with a favorite staff member? We build their schedule to match. And if allergies are a concern, we’ve got it covered — bring your own treats, or we’ll swap in herbs, spices, and essential oils for scent-based enrichment instead.

What Does A Typical Day Look Like For My Dog?

Play – Exercise – Think – Rest – Repeat

Morning — Exercise & Play

Dogs typically arrive full of energy, and we lean into that rather than push against it. The day kicks off with a well-matched play group and/or a cardio activity — treadmill time, a walk outside, or a round of fetch — so they can burn through that early excitement right away. We’re big believers in what a good walk can do for a dog’s headspace: fresh air, new smells, and a break from the daycare environment.

Morning — Rest

A built-in break to unwind and recharge.

Midday — Think & Exercise

Once the morning’s movement and rest are behind them, dogs shift into brain-engaging activities — puzzles, obstacle courses, and scent work that put their noses to work.

Afternoon — Rest

Another calm stretch to reset before the day winds down.

Afternoon — Play & Exercise

The day wraps up with more fun and connection. Dogs end their time with us in a compatible play group and/or a favorite activity with a staff member they love — whether that’s climbing platforms, running through tunnels, or chasing down a squeaky toy. However your dog likes to play, that’s how their day will close.

Engaging Activities for Fun and Health!

At our Fishtown Location, no two days are the same! We pack each day with engaging, thoughtfully designed activities that support your dog’s physical health, mental sharpness, and social development:

  • Monthly Themed Scent Spaces – New scents let your pup explore fresh environments through their powerful nose.

  • Cardio Sessions – Games and movement-focused fun to keep those paws moving and tails wagging.

  • Scent Work – Sniffing games challenge your dog’s mind and satisfy their curiosity.

  • Sensory Activities – Different textures, sounds, and smells help your dog explore the world through all their senses.

  • Brain Games – Toys, puzzles, and interactive challenges keep your pup mentally engaged and always learning.

  • Agility Fun – Obstacle courses build confidence, coordination, and physical strength—all while having a blast.

  • Group Play – Safe, supervised playtime with fellow pups matched by size and temperament for ideal social experiences.

  • Enrichment Toys & Puzzles – We keep boredom at bay with enrichment tools that encourage thinking, solving, and tail-wagging satisfaction.

Dog Daycare FAQ

What vaccinations does my dog need to join daycare?

To keep our resort as safe and healthy as possible, we require proof of vaccination for Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella. We also require our guests be on a flea and tick preventative.

Are reservations required?

Above all, we prioritize your dog’s safety, and we do this by ensuring the right number of staff every day. To do this, we do require reservations so we can plan accordingly.

What are your dog daycare hours?

Our dog daycare is open Monday through Friday from 7 am to 7 pm.

My dog doesn’t enjoy playing with other dogs. Would they still enjoy daycare?

Absolutely! We appreciate that some pups would prefer to play with human friends. We have one-on-one play options to keep your dog exercised and entertained at their own comfort level.

What is your spay/neuter policy?

Dogs 8 months and older, who have not attended puppy preschool or daycare at Wag Days previously, must be spayed/neutered to attend our facility for all services.

Wag Days day care has been such a lifesaver for me and my new puppy. I work odd hours and being able to take her somewhere she is loved gives me so much comfort. They send daily report cards with photos of what the pups did that day. As well, there’s a whole calendar of events and lots of enrichment to keep them entertained! I love how intentional they are with the care they offer. It’s a little pricey, but I feel with all they offer they make it worth it!

Wag Days has been so great for my puppy! He just finished puppy preschool and has come out a more confident, chill dog and knows basic commands. The staff is great at communicating what he learned so I can reinforce it at home. They also are good at accomdating my picky dog. He's doing enrichment daycare now once a week and loves it! And as a bonus, he comes home super tired every day he's there.
